New to kayaking or paddleboarding? You’re in the right place. Paddle-N-More is an American Canoe Association (ACA) Pro School, which means we offer quality lessons and certifications for all skill levels — from your first time on the water to becoming a certified instructor.

Professional Training & Certification
Our instructor and guide training programs are designed for participants ready to move beyond recreational paddling into leadership and teaching roles.
These courses require preparation, including reviewing ACA Instructor Criteria, practicing skills in advance, and arriving ready for full days on the water. Certification is performance-based and not guaranteed.
Courses are held at Myers Park in Lansing, NY, with full-day schedules and variable conditions to reflect real-world teaching environments. See options below for full details.
Before You Register
- ACA membership is required for certification courses
- Participants are responsible for reviewing course criteria and preparing in advance
- Appropriate gear (including immersion wear) is required
- Rental equipment is limited and not guaranteed
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Beginner Lessons (Kayak & Paddleboard)
Cancellations for beginner-level kayak or paddleboard lessons must be made at least 24 hours in advance to receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson are non-refundable.
- No-shows will be charged the full lesson fee.
- If Paddle-N-More cancels a lesson due to weather or other circumstances, participants will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
This policy helps ensure we can provide safe, high-quality instruction for all participants.
ACA Certification Courses (e.g., Level 2 IDW/ICE)
Cancellations for ACA instructor development and certification courses must be made at least one month prior to the course start date to receive a 100% refund of the down payment and any additional payments made.
- Cancellations made less than one month in advance are non-refundable.
- No-shows will be charged the full course fee.
- If Paddle-N-More cancels the course for any reason, participants will receive a full refund, including the down payment.
