Policies & Procedures
At Paddle-N-More, we are committed to providing a fun and hassle-free paddling experience while prioritizing responsibility on the water. This page outlines essential policies and procedures for renting our equipment, including general rules, age requirements, safety guidelines, and our cancellation policy. Whether you’re planning your first paddle or you’re a seasoned adventurer, reading these guidelines will help create a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
General Policies
- All renters must sign a Particpant Agreement & Liability Waiver before using our equipment or participating in our programs. Minors (under 18) require a parent or guardian’s signature.
- Renters must be 18 or older to sign rental agreements.
- Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) MUST be worn at all times while using our equipment. PFDs may not be left in the watercraft.
- Paddleboard leashes must be worn at all times when using stand-up paddleboards.
- Alcohol and drug use before or during rentals is strictly prohibited.
- Renters must be able to enter and exit equipment independently, both on land and in the water.
- If a Paddle-N-More staff member determines that conditions are unsafe, rentals may be postponed or canceled.
- Dogs are welcome! However, you must provide a dog PFD and make sure your dog is under control and leashed at all times on and off the water.
- Equipment Responsibility: Renters are responsible for returning equipment in the same condition it was rented. Fees apply for missing or damaged equipment.
- Retrieval Fee: If any Paddle-N-More employee must assist or retrieve you on the water, a retrieval fee will be charged.
- Paddle Within Your Limits: By signing the rental agreement, you acknowledge and agree to paddle within your skill level and comfort zone.
- Weather Awareness: Be mindful of the changing conditions and environment. In the event of thunder or lightning, all rentals will stop and remain paused for 30 minutes after the last observed event.
- In Case of Emergency: Renters must bring a cell phone on the water. Call 911 first in an emergency before contacting Paddle-N-More. If non-emergency assistance is needed, call our paddle shop at 607-288-3470.
