Rental Procedures and Policies
This section provides an overview of policies and procedures related to regular rentals, including age restrictions. All customers must read the following rules and regulations BEFORE renting any equipment:
Rules and Regulations
The individual signing the “BOAT RENTAL AGREEMENT, STATEMENT OF RISKS, ASSUMPTION OF RISKS, AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY” must be over 18 years old, and must leave their picture identification as collateral.
- A personal flotation device (PFD) must be worn by all participants at all times while using our equipment. PnM does not allow renters to just place PFDs in the water vessel.
- A paddleboard leash must be secured to the ankle of participants at all times while using paddleboards.
- A separate liability waiver and rental agreement must be signed for each individual 18 and over renting our equipment.
- If you are an inexperienced/novice paddler and are paddling with small children, you must stay in the immediate area regardless of your age. It is the responsibility of the renter to check conditions and gauge whether or not they should be on the water.
- If a paddle shop employee determines the conditions are unsafe to rent, please understand it is for your safety.
- The use of our equipment while under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not permitted.
- Be prepared to swim and expect the water to be cold.
- Renters must be able to enter and exit our equipment on land and in the water without assistance to be able to use our equipment.
- Be mindful of changes in weather. If you hear thunder or see lightning, proceed immediately to the closest land and remain there until 30 minutes after the last thunder or lightning. In the event of thunder or lightning, all rentals will stop until 30 minutes after the last thunder or lightning.
- If you capsize, remain with your boat unless doing so creates a life-threatening situation.
- Renters are required to bring a cell phone on the water when using PnM equipment. If there is an emergency on the water call 911 before you call the Paddle-N-More. If you do not have an emergency situation, but need assistance while on the water, please contact the paddle shop at 607-288-3470 and a safety kayak or boat will be launched to assist you. There is a fee if you need to be retrieved or assisted back to the launch point.

Cancellation Policy
One person’s perfect day on the water may be too hot for somebody else and too cold for the next person. As a rental company, last-minute cancellations are very costly. At the same time, we understand that things come up and we don’t feel it is right for you to lose your entire rental fee if you have to reschedule.
Our Cancellation Policy is simple and strict, but fair.
If you cancel with 24 hours or more notice you will receive a 100% refund. No shows and cancellations within 24 hours of the reservation or event, for any reason, are subject to full reservation cost. We do not allow cancellations for less than ideal weather. If the weather is bad due to high winds, lightning, rain, storms in the area, unsafe conditions we will call you to cancel or move your reservation. Cancellations made by our staff due to weather will receive a full refund. We reserve the right to cancel any rental at any time due to extreme conditions deemed unsafe.
Please note – if you arrive at your reservation late, this counts toward your time on the water. We cannot just extend times due to the equipment being reserved throughout the day. There are fees associated with returning equipment outside of the reservation time.
