For those seeking a one-on-one learning experience, our private lessons offer a personalized approach to developing your paddling skills. Whether you’re new to paddlesports or looking to refine specific techniques, our American Canoe Association (ACA) certified instructors will provide tailored instruction to help you gain confidence on the water.
Private Lesson Pricing
- $125 to $250 – 2-hour private lesson (price depends on goals)
- $95 – Add an additional participant
- Complimentary Rental: Each private lesson includes a free 2-hour rental so you can return and practice your skills.
American Canoe Assessment Information
An ACA Skills Assessment is designed to help experienced paddlers refine their abilities following American Canoe Association (ACA) standards. These assessments provide a structured way to evaluate and improve technique, safety, and competency on the water. You can view the ACA standards by visiting ACA’s website.
If you are looking for an assessment, ACA standards require 8 hours of instruction. Private assessments are available for $245 per day. This cost does not include rental equipment.

At Paddle-N-More, we are Stewards of Safety! Our instructors hold ACA certifications in kayaking, canoeing, and standup paddleboarding. In addition to teaching proper technique, our instructors are trained in effective communication methods, ensuring that each lesson is engaging and easy to understand.
How to Book a Private Lesson, Skills Clinic, or Skills Assessment

Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, but last-minute cancellations are costly.
- Cancellations with 24+ hours’ notice: 100% refund.
- Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows: Subject to full reservation cost.
- Weather-related cancellations: We do not cancel for less-than-ideal weather. However, if hazardous conditions occur (high winds, lightning, storms), we will notify you and issue a full refund if we cancel.
- Late Arrivals: Your lesson time begins at the scheduled start time. Lessons will proceed as planned, even if participants arrive late.
