The Rental Shop Employee is a seasonal part-time position with Paddle-N-More. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with people, love the outdoors, and thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide customers through the rental process for standup paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, and other gear.
  • Load and unload boats from storage racks and trailers.
  • Teach clients basic paddling techniques.
  • Clean and maintain watercraft and rental shop facilities.
  • Answer customer inquiries and phone calls.
  • Deliver exceptional customer care at all times.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Must be available to work at least 15 hours per week.
  • Must be available to work throughout the entire summer season (including weekends and major holidays).

Pay and Locations:

  • Starting pay: $16/hour
  • Positions available at all three locations: Myers Park (Lansing), Taughannock Falls (Trumansburg), and Stewart Park (Ithaca).

Lead Rental Shop Employee

The Lead Rental Shop Employee is a seasonal full-time or part-time position with Paddle-N-More. As a shift supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our rental shops and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the operations manager with daily shop tasks and risk management procedures.
  • Supervise and manage rental shop employees during shifts.
  • Oversee and manage the rental process to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Answer customer inquiries and handle phone calls professionally.
  • Load and unload boats from storage racks and trailers.
  • Teach clients basic paddling techniques.
  • Maintain and clean watercraft and rental shops.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Hold current CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Previous supervisory and work experience preferred.
  • Must be flexible to work weekends and major holidays.

Pay and Locations:

Positions available at all three locations: Myers Park (Lansing), Taughannock Falls (Trumansburg), and Stewart Park (Ithaca).

Starting pay: $18/hour

Social Media & Marketing Employee

Are you passionate about marketing, social media, and sharing the outdoors with others? Paddle-N-More is seeking a committed, enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Social Media and Marketing Employee. This seasonal part-time role is ideal for someone with excitment about creating media nd engaging with our community across the Finger Lakes region.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture photos and videos of the magical moments that make our summers.
  • Create marketing materials and social media posts to promote Paddle N More.
  • Coordinate post schedules and media organiazation with the Operations Manager.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Passion for the outdoors and a strong desire to share it with others.
  • Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor are essential.
  • Familiarity with Social Media and Marketing platforms and designs.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and major holidays (this is a must).
  • Ability to travel between each of our three locations on Cayuga Lake.

Pay and Availability:

  • Starting pay: $18/hour
  • This is a part-time seasonal role with variable hours.
  • Must be available from May to September
