Teaching standup paddleboard (SUP) yoga in Ithaca and on Cayuga Lake since 2012, Cayuga SUP Yoga instructors offer the Finger Lakes region’s only on-lake paddleboard yoga classes. Join us at our three Paddle-n-More locations beginning in June each summer — Stewart Park, Myers Park, and Taughannock Falls State Park!

Come experience true flow in our floating yoga classes! Practicing yoga on a paddleboard brings a whole new perspective to being “fully present in the moment” and experiencing balance in life. When you practice yoga on the water, transitions are slowed and core engagement and proper alignment are emphasized in order to maintain balance amid nature’s changing elements — the board becomes your mat, the birds sing your flow, and the water and wind remind us to have a sense of humor as we explore our yoga journey. Whether new to yoga or an experienced yogi, SUP yoga promises to relax, rejuvenate, and strengthen your body, mind, and spirit as we move through a full yoga practice on our paddleboards. All Asanas (yoga poses) are modifiable and optional to accommodate varying levels of paddlers and yogis!

Your safety is our priority! All Cayuga SUP Yoga instructors are ACA-certified paddleboard instructors. The ACA National Paddlesports Instruction Program has been acknowledged as the “gold standard” of paddlesports education throughout the United States for more than 40 years. In addition, each is a Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher (RYT 200) with comprehensive knowledge and additional integrated training as needed to instruct SUP yoga. Wednesdays 7:00-8:30am starting June 4 through August 27

Description: Come sip a “morning cup of flow” with us as we salute the rising sun from the surface of the lake! This Vinyasa style class is designed to center you in gratitude and peace while awakening you for your day! Always responsive to Mother Nature’s gifts, on glassy mornings we may hold class in the middle of the lake (no anchors needed) floating – flowing – in quiet tranquility. When Mother Nature decides to challenge us with her wind and wavelets, we’ll anchor in close to shore! (All levels welcome; must know how to swim).

Wednesdays – 7:30-8:45pm starting June 5 through August 28

Description: Trust, flow and let go. Expect to be challenged, supported, and encouraged in this Vinyasa style floating yoga class. Practicing yoga on a floating unstable surface requires us to balance strength with grace (Sthira Sukham), release ego, and leave life’s challenges on shore. All Asanas (yoga poses) are modifiable and optional. You will be encouraged to listen to your body, trust your intuition, and practice from a place of presence (your mental and physical ability level at the moment). (All levels welcome; must know how to swim).
